JDRF: Bid for the Cure

On April 24, 2013, I volunteered at the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation at the "Chase Center on the Riverfront". In an effort to find a cure for Type-one Diabetes, the JDRF hosted a public Auction, offering wonderful prizes to the highest bidders. All the money raised through the auction goes directly to the JDRF, helping to fund a very worthy cause.

The JDRF is currently sponsoring $530 Million in scientific research in 17 countries! Majority of these collaborations allow for JDRF to be known as one of the most charitable T1D research supporters, helping those who seek for a solution to this horrible disease. Type-One Diabetes is a lifelong chronic disease in which there are high levels of sugar within the bloodstream. T1D is responsible for the deaths of 1 in 20  people that are diagnosed, "... but 1 in 20 people dying from low blood sugar also means that 95% of people with this disease won’t." says JDRF. If we all can come together a help JDRF with providing funding to research facilities, we can help them find a cure for T1D and finally put an end to this Chronic Disease. And let's face it, with YOUR help, we can do ANYTHING!

This was by far one of the most interesting appearances I've done by far! I am so happy that I was able to help out with such a wonderful cause; I would definitely recommend anyone to participate. Thank you guys so much for having me!

If you would like to get in contact with the JDRF, visit their website and see what you can do to make a difference at http://jdrf.org/

Talk to you soon!
